Rants and Hacks - Survival of the shortest
Let's talk fun at the grocery store. At least once a week there seems to be something that is beyond my reach at the grocery store. When I was younger I was too embarrassed to ask for help so I would probably go without it. Then I moved on to climbing into dairy cases and on shelves, or using something with a long handle near by to push the item closer. This of course comes with risk. One time I was pushing a yogurt on the top shelf towards the front so it would fall down to me and then a bunch of them came flying down and hit me in the eye. I got a black eye from that shopping trip. Finally I have graduated to asking for help. Sometimes from the stocking people - but I hate to bother them, usually I look for a tall (or taller) person to reach it for me, Mostly I find that people are nice and want to help! Keep pushing ahead girls. We've got to let them know...Short Girls Rock!
